The Project focused on the conversion of an existing listed granite barn attached to a main 19th century farmhouse. The client was needing to form separate accommodation from selling his farm with the decline in farming in Jersey and the derelict section of barn to the end of his parents Farmhouse was available.

The Planning requirement stipulated the need to maintain  as possible the traditional granite barn, and conversion being feasible in regenerating the barn to an alternative use. This project is strongly exemplary of a philosophy to regenerate and innovate taking the best of the old and overlap with a contemporary approach. To also combine  with solar panels and heat source pumps using 100% renewable energies, and oil only used as back up.
