Employ a Real Architect / by jane blakeley

There is reason to believe architecture and in particular house architecture is a profession and science that anybody can pick up and 'run with' with the plethora of house design programmes available on television and the Internet. Who realistically would want to take on somebody else's job? This may sound crass and not relevant but would you really take on your own open heart surgery? Probably not! I will set out hear to prove how this phenomena has come about and how you are really putting your 'life and livelihoods' on the line in embarking on a self build project.

The 1970s saw the advent of B&Q, yes the huge store that has meant you can embark on the tiling of your bathroom or decorating your lounge, by example. These smaller areas one cannot denounce, why not with a weekend spare give it a go. But enlarge this in size x1000 and you suddenly have the responsibility of embarking on a building project so humungous in size and complexity it could be the Colliseum in Rome (a familiar heritage building) or the Shard in London (a more contemporary building).

At JFA Architects we are passionate about creating the perfect branded image for your project, and believe in expert skills to achieve this level of service. The following link is an interesting read when considering appointing an architect for your home in particular:
